Homer homeowners don't need another sales pitch about their roof — they need someone who shows up, explains what's actually wrong, and fixes it right the first time.
Before Roof Repair Smedway was a name on a truck, our foremen were already up on ladders across Homer, LA, figuring out which shingle brands actually hold their seal through a rough season and which ones just look good in a showroom.
Ask to see our Homer, LA license and insurance certificate and you'll have it in your hand before the estimate even starts.
A roof repair that's "close enough" tends to fail again within a year, usually during the exact storm it was supposed to handle. We don't build that way.
Proof of licensing before the first ladder goes up.
A midnight call gets the same urgency as a noon call.
You approve a number before the crew touches your roof.
Faster arrivals because we're already close by.
Catching a roof problem at the "annoying" stage is almost always cheaper than catching it at the "emergency" stage.
Homeowners in Homer often mention they'd noticed something off months before calling — a stain that seemed to fade, a shingle that looked slightly out of place after a storm.
Shingles shed their protective granules as they wear down, and a gutter full of grit is an early tell.
A cupped shingle traps moisture instead of shedding it, which speeds up decking rot underneath.
Daylight visible through the attic roof boards means water has the same path in.
Sagging or soft drywall usually points to sustained moisture, not a single isolated drip.
An unexplained bill increase is worth checking against your roof's condition.
Even a small missing section can let in enough water to rot decking in a single storm.
Not every call needs the same fix, so we scope each Homer job individually instead of running everything through one generic quote.
These categories aren't marketing labels; they reflect how our crews are actually organized and dispatched across Homer, LA.
Active leaks get priority dispatch — a temporary cover first, a proper repair as soon as the crew can get materials on-site.
Our residential scope covers shingle repair, full reroofs, ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing fixes.
Commercial roofs run different membrane systems entirely, and our crews are trained specifically on TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen.
Material selection is part of the replacement conversation, matched to your climate exposure and budget.
Post-storm inspections give homeowners documented evidence, useful whether or not a claim gets filed.
If your roof has an architectural quirk, we scope it personally rather than forcing a standard fix.
Homeowners tell us the not-knowing is often worse than the repair itself, so we try to remove as much guesswork from the process as we can.
After-hours calls still reach a live line for anything time-sensitive.
The inspection covers decking, flashing, and ventilation, not just the obvious visible damage.
An itemized estimate is delivered before any work starts, covering materials, labor, and cleanup.
Warranty paperwork is handed over the same day the job wraps.
We could list a dozen more reasons to work with us, but these six are the ones Homer homeowners mention most often when they leave a review.
Crews based in Homer, LA reach Homer faster than out-of-area companies quoting a multi-week wait.
We'd rather lose a bid on an honest price than win one that grows later.
Certifications stay current so material warranties remain valid after installation.
Every job includes a written labor warranty separate from the shingle manufacturer's coverage.
We're not your insurance company, but we make that part of the process easier.
Our technicians explain their reasoning so you're deciding with full information.
A verbal promise means nothing when you actually need it, so ours is documented and handed over at project close.
No surprise line items appear after the fact; anything that changes the scope gets discussed with you directly.
None of this is a marketing line — it's how every Homer job actually gets closed out, warranty paperwork included.
Roof Repair Smedway dispatches Roofing crews throughout Homer and the surrounding communities across Homer, LA, with coverage available further out on request.
